During active orthodontic treatment, your appointments will be scheduled between every 8-10 weeks. Some of these appointments will conflict with work or school schedules. Longer appointments, which are few in number, are generally scheduled in the morning. Shorter appointments are scheduled either in the remaining morning or afternoon times. We will be happy to give you a “Please Excuse” note to give to your school.
Your time is valuable to us. We have dedicated considerable time and effort to designing our scheduling system. We want to be able to see you on time, and have adequate time during each appointment to do the necessary procedures. This will also ensure that we have enough time to answer questions and update your treatment progress.
When you arrive at our office please check in using our automated computer screen so we will know that you have arrived. If your name is not called within 15 minutes of your appointment time, please tell our scheduling coordinator.
Because the schedule is carefully planned, your late arrival can pose a problem. In fairness to our other patients, we may not be able to see you and may need to reschedule your appointment. We recognize that unforeseen circumstances can arise which will require you to cancel or miss an appointment. We will do our best to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. To avoid delays in treatments, it may become necessary to reschedule an after school appointment for a time during school hours. Missed appointments or numerous appointment changes will inevitably result in an extension of your treatment time and possible additional costs.
